Record find! 174 abandoned classics discovered in UK warehouse

The enormous number of abandoned classics that are discovered or rescued every year never ceases to amaze us. Vehicles that for very different reasons go from being the jewels of their owners to being neglected by them, who on many occasions end up leaving entire collections to their fate. Although we have also witnessed truly aberrant cases, in which we find ourselves with the discovery of gigantic collections that for one reason or another languish for years without seeing the light of the sun.

This is precisely one of these rare cases, in which a gigantic collection has been discovered that seems to have been completely abandoned and neglected for decades, given the enormous load of dirt accumulated by the many vehicles discovered.

The discovery of this collection and its imminent auction has come to light thanks to the recently published video uploaded by youtuber TheTFJJ, a Briton who has been lucky enough to be able to access the enormous warehouse that has been secretly housing this gigantic collection for decades and which, according to data from those responsible for its sale is made up of no less than 174 vehicles. The vast majority of them classic sports cars, although we can also find the occasional conventional car and some commercials, but all of them prior to the 1990s.

Contrary to other similar discoveries, in which we usually see several rooms or garages full of models, in this case we find a huge diaphanous nave in its central area in which all the vehicles are crowded under one roof, with practically no separation between them, which offers a quite spectacular and bleak image of the discovered collection.

Although at first glance we have not been able to identify any especially rare or valuable piece, the truth is that the collection is mostly made up of sports vehicles, although the different conventional cars that we have seen are authentic collector's items. Among the models that appear on the screen and on the Instagram page opened by the auction organizers, we can see several Mercedes SL Class R107 generation along with numerous sedans of the same German brand, a Porsche 911 Cabriolet generation 964, several Morris and MG, in addition to such peculiar pieces as a Nissan 300 ZX generation Z31, several original BMW 2002 and Volkswagen Beetles or even a Mazda MX-5 generation NA. At first glance, all the units present an acceptable state of conservation, although with a huge and evident layer of dirt, and in some cases some pieces are missing, as if they were pending restoration. These models will be auctioned from this week in North London.
