“People are picking up the phone on La Palma and everyone tells you yes, it's just that they don't think about it. Everybody is being great. All the people have turned their heads”, says Lydia Lozano when she is asked about the support she is receiving from other familiar faces. Her main objective is to sell as much as possible that day, an amount that will go directly to the most affected. "The important thing is to buy and donate, buy and donate, that's what I want. They are giving me wonderful clothes that I am going to sell for twenty, thirty, forty euros," says Lydia Lozano. In this way, she turns clothes that have passed through the hands of television faces into accessible clothes, a real opportunity even for collectors.

Although this project is perfect for helping victims, Lydia Lozano already wanted to set up something similar with a colleague just before the health crisis. «This was going to be done with Cristina Gutiérrez, director of 'Mujeres y Hombres', but with the pandemic she stopped. So I told him, why don't we do it again and do it for La Palma? They need it, people need it”, explained the talk show host. However, the situation in our country paralyzed her plans and she has now given a new twist to her idea. Now there is no greater reason than the tragedy that is happening in La Palma to get down to work and raise funds for those who have suffered the terrible consequences of the volcano on their own skin.

Fortunately, Lydia has already forgotten all the controversy that on her day put her in the spotlight of the news. The journalist traveled to the island to cover the news and support the palmeros from 'Sálvame', however, not everyone understood her presence at the scene of the catastrophe and this provoked a hundred criticisms of her.
