In a new report, iSeeCars.com car research and data company found that some months are better than others to find low prices on used cars. The same goes for holidays.

"when you buy something as expensive as a car, save up to 5 percent of your purchase, or $952 of the average price of $19,040, you can actually add up," said Phong Ly, executive director of iSeeCars, in a statement.

ISeeCars found that consumers are more likely to reach agreements on certain federal and retail holidays, especially towards the end of the calendar year. According to the company's study, the following dates are the best holidays to buy a used car.

Black Friday: 33.1% Veterans Day: 32.5% Thanksgiving Day: 30.6% Columbus Day: 30.5% Martin Luther King Day: 29.4% Christmas eve: 28.7% Christmas Day: 21.4% New Year's eve: 21.3% Halloween: 18.8% New Year's Day: 15.8%
