This is how you can calculate your bra size

If it has happened to you that you cannot find the perfect bra size that fits your breasts, you may not have calculated your bust size correctly.

Obtaining the right numbers to buy a bra that favors our health and appearance is simple, you just need to follow the following steps and recommendations.

Step 1: Measure your girth size

Take a tape measure and place it under your bust, there you will have your "chest size". Your arms should be down.

Make sure the strap is positioned properly, allowing only two fingers to pass through for comfort. Avoid leaving a lot of space, but at the same time that the tape is not tight. Remember that the contour will be what will support your breasts, not the straps.

Step 2: A few calculations and get your bra size

Once you have your chest measurement, add 5 inches to the result and round it up to the nearest bra size. These are the US bra sizes we commonly wear: 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40.

For example, if you got 30 inches (76 cm) and you add 5 inches (12cm), you would have: 35 inches. If you round that final result to the nearest number of bra sizes it will be 36.

Cimeters can easily be converted here. Don't forget to round the inches to the nearest number. For example: 76 cm is 29.92 inches, rounded up to 30 inches.

Step 3: Calculate the cup measurement

Put on a cloth or cotton bra to get a comfortable, adjustable fit for your breasts. Then, with the help of a tape measure, place the tape at the height of your nipples and measure your bust.

From the number you get, subtract your chest height measurement (Step 1). The final result you get from this difference will be the cup size you need.

Once again, convert the centimeters you get to inches and round to a whole number. For example: 5 cm is 1.96 inches, rounded it would be 2 inches, that is, Cup B.

Also keep in mind the international sizes, depending on the bra you want to buy.

Recommendations:

1. Whichever size you get, the center of the bra should be flat. The area between the cups should be attached to your chest, without putting too much pressure on your skin. If it is not flat, you are not choosing a proper measurement.

2. Recognize your sister sizes. Play proportionally with your contour and cup size. That is, if you reduce two sizes from the contour, increase the cup or vice versa. For example: you can go from a size 36 C to a 34 D or from a 36 C to a 38 B.

3. Avoid the annoying "four breasts". When the cup is too small, it causes the breasts to protrude above the bra. Therefore, look for a bra that has a smooth curve, as well as a precise silhouette to the shape of your bust.
