LlamaPunkz: the crypto art of llamas in NFT

Lima.- Yuval Yakubov, a Canadian software developer and Willy García, a current Peruvian auditor, had the vision of bringing the beloved and popular llama to the metaverse in its different versions (punk, elegant and cool) each with a personality different and with a story to tell. 5,100 totally unique llamas have been generated under the name of LlamaPunkz on the Immutable X platform, a 2nd degree solution for the Etherum platform with an investment of 20 thousand dollars for the entire development. The Peruvian publicist Piero Sáenz also joins the project as manager of marketing and creativity in order to have a solid and valuable proposal in the virtual world.

Yakubov comments “In September we made a trip to Peru for 3 weeks and traveled through Lima, Cusco, Arequipa and Puno. I saw a lot of llamas, I honestly find them adorable creatures. In Cusco we bought a painting of a llama with a pipe from a street artist and that is how we decided that we wanted to bring a similar work to our NFT. We want to celebrate the riches that the Peruvian territory offers by generating a community that supports the project and learns more about this wonderful country. This is the fundamental reason why we want to donate 10% of our profits to a Peruvian charity.”

What is NFT?

The industry of NFTs or non-expendable goods is on the rise and in the last quarter of 2021 there was a movement of 10.7 billion dollars. An NFT can be associated with a unique work of art in the world, which can be reproduced, but it will never have the value of the original piece where its price will be in relation to what society wants to give it. It is determined as a non-expendable good because it is not consumed with use, it is not modified, nor can it be replaced by another of the same.

The owner who invests in an NFT becomes the owner of the code that holds that figure (this can be of any theme). At its cost, it would always be necessary to add a commission price charged by the buying and selling platforms in addition to the costs of using their platforms, which makes it a “luxury” digital good where the average minimum prices are around $400 – $500. However, Yuval and Willy seek with LlamaPunkz to democratize the acquisition of these digital products by arriving at a much lower price without losing the quality of the piece.

LlamaPunkz in the market

The llamas will be available on the "Immutable X" buying and selling platform where a real team works to certify each of the online profiles, avoiding scams and additional charges such as commissions and royalties. More than 400 llamas have already been sold at $120 in a recent successful pre-sale to those most interested in the project and the public sale is expected on January 21, 2022. There is no doubt that many will want to obtain these original creatures and they will be the ones that they get the most benefits over time since the team is about to launch a game for the owners of these NFTs that will help them increase their profits.
