When an earthquake, a war or social agitation they push you to cross the border and venture to the unknown, you learn the hard lesson of the refugee: you have not only lost your home, your work, a country.You may also have lost your own identity.

This lesson is now a reality for a large number of people, because it is estimated that there are currently 25 million refugees worldwide.And more than four million of them come from Venezuela, where the economy has collapsed in the midst of corruption and the poor administration of an increasingly authoritarian regime.

In recent interviews, five Venezuelans spoke in detail about what they have left behind, what they managed to carry with them and what they feel they have lost forever.
