They find a corpse tied by the hands and with a rag on the head in a house

In the last hours , the body of a man was found in a house in the San Javier neighborhood of the 13th commune of Medellín. Signs of violence and traces of blood were detected at the crime scene.

The lifeless body, which was found inside a room of the house, was found in underwear, lying on the floor, face down, with hands tied and with a rag wrapped around the head, according to information known by the RCN Radio station.

The body was identified as Juan David López Álzate, 32 years old and according to the authorities the reason for this violent death is under investigation.

This is the first murder committed this year in commune 13 of San Javier.

In 2021 in this western area of ​​the capital of Antioquia, 21 homicides were reported, according to information from the Medellín Security Secretariat.

Likewise, comparing the figures for 2021 with those for 2020, there was an increase of 9.2%, with 34 more homicides.

According to security analysts consulted by El Colombiano, this reduction was foreseeable considering that in 2020 there were quarantines that restricted citizen interactions and that in 2021 all social life was reactivated .

The violence does not stop in Antioquia

On January 27, at 5:00 in the afternoon, the Itagüí authorities reported a double homicide by firearm, in the San Isidro neighborhood. According to the police report, the victims are a woman and her minor son.

Her mother and son were attacked on public roads by a 34-year-old man dressed as a security guard who shot himself in the chin after committing the crime. According to the police report cited by El Colombiano, the aggressor would be the woman's ex-partner and was captured by the police and a revolver was seized with which he committed the double murder.

The mother of the murdered woman informed the authorities that the couple had previously had an argument in the presence of her son. After that, the woman got on a motorcycle with the child and the man chased after them, also on a motorcycle. When she reached them she shot them, he abandoned the motorcycle and ran away to shoot himself.

On a farm in the municipality of Caldas, in the south of Valle de Aburrá, Ricardo Antonio Ortiz, 57, was murdered. The commander of the Metropolitan Police, General José Javier Josué Martín Gámez, explained to local media that the man worked in road maintenance.

On the facts, the police began investigations against the person who days before had threatened the victim, in addition, General Martín Gámez, assured that according to the first hypotheses the murder would have been due to a debt of three million pesos. However, the general maintained that everything is a matter of investigation.

On the other hand, last Monday, January 17, according to the authorities, the dismembered body of a man was found inside a sack in the village of Loma del Guamo, located in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Titiribí, in southwest Antioquia.

According to the authorities, the 26-year-old victim was identified as Iván Alonso Bermúdez Agudelo. According to a preliminary analysis of the body, the young man also had gunshot wounds, so it is presumed that he was first shot and then severed.
