Free content from 'The Last Jedi' comes to 'Star Wars Battlefront 2'

Tomorrow is a big day. Star Wars Episode VIII, 'The Last Jedi', opens in theaters to continue the story of Rey, Kylo Ren and Finn and discover what role Luke Skywalker plays in all this. But while it's time for your session, and if you have 'Star Wars Battlefront 2', you can enjoy free content inspired by the movie, including characters like Finn and Captain Phasma, new maps and more.

Finn is a playable hero of the Resistance, while Phasma fights on the side of the First Order (as you would expect). Both characters will be unlocked without paying virtual money if you play 'The Last Jedi' content during the season.

This content update also brings with it two new multiplayer maps, straight from the new movie. On Crait, you'll be able to play 20v20 Galactic Assault matches, and at the Resistance Base on the planet D'Qar, you'll experience 12v12 space combat. Before the action begins in 'The Last Jedi Season 1,' you will have to choose side: Resistance or First Order. This decision will be linked to the challenges, which will reward the player and their faction.

But this is not all that comes with the DLC, the campaign is also expanded with Resurrection, a free content that continues the story of Iden Versio. There are three new chapters that will lead Versio to discover the secrets of the First Order shortly before the events of the film.
