Jesé: "I want to play the derby with Heliodoro to burst"

Motivated and eager to win in the court of the greatest rival. Jesé has been in derby mode since the beginning of the week and it shows in his eyes that he wants to be important at Rodríguez López. It is true that he has not seen a goal for seven consecutive games, coinciding with the team's worst streak, but that doesn't bother Jesé: "I get angry, I don't get frustrated for not scoring. I don't give up. I know the ball will come back to enter at some point", he admitted to the media.

This afternoon the decision on the capacity in the blue and white venue will be announced. Several possibilities are on the table, although 100% of the capacity is ruled out. Bad news for the yellow striker: "I want to play with the Heliodoro to bursting. Let them whistle for me, to motivate me. I already am, because it is the perfect setting and with the perfect rival".

Las Palmas is seven points from Tenerife. A distance that, despite the fact that it is not a concern in Gran Canaria, would leave the yellow team very touched if it does not achieve a positive result: "It is not a final, but it is a decisive game for us. We need the points to feel important and get into the fight above," he explains.

Jesé:

Despite the casualties due to Covid, Las Palmas has its lead intact. Peñaranda, Pejiño, Moleiro and Jonathan Viera will play next to Jesé: "It's easier to understand each other with good players. With Viera it's very easy to play," he says.

An intense afternoon

In the next few hours the decision of the Government of the Canary Islands on the capacity of the derby will be announced. In addition, Las Palmas will present Hernani, its first winter signing. The Portuguese will meet his teammates and work out with the group. Of course, it will not be registered until January 3, so it is ruled out for the Canary Islands derby.
